Minn Kota Quick Release

Hello..I have a new Minn Kota Max 70lb foot control bow mount trolling motor. I am wanting to get a quick release so I can take it off when not needed. I see that minn kota makes two kinds, does anyone have any suggestions on which one to get ? Which one is better ?

Make sure to get the one with the bigger hole so you can run a lock threw it. Otherwise someone can have it off your boat in about 1 minute easy.

If I am not wrong, u may not have a choice because certain brackets go wth certain motors. Check first.

Thanks for the suggestions, Im guessing that not to many of you guys use detatchable mounts ?? Is that right ??

I've got the exact same motor mounted on my bow. I went with the quick release model that leaves a small rectangular puck on the bow when you take off the motor. It works just fine. It's quick, easy, and lockable. But it ain't cheap, I got some grief from the Mrs. "You spent $90 on that!?!" But I've got no regrets in purchasing it, hope this helps ya out.

Mine is detachable. I have a small lock on mine because the hole is too small for a bigger lock. Keeps the honest honest is all.
