0 Surface Tension Posted July 2, 2006 Share Posted July 2, 2006 I don't understand. I'm guessing you have two fuel tanks and the valve. How is it pumping gas with the fuel line disconnected? All the lines from the tanks to the fuel pump, if theres an air leak that suction is broke. I think you have an inboard? Those tanks have a check valve on the end of a drop tube in the tank that take a considerably amount of suction to open, any air leak will be compounded by that check valve. I would check for pressure somewhere between the fuel and the carb. Also inboard some fuel pumps have a filter cartridge on the pump, that should be checked too.
