They are still cleaning up the field during a commercial as I write this - it just can't be the true Cub fans who are littering the field after AJ's 3rHR in the 9th...tell me it isn't true Windy.

(up a run in the 9th, 1 run lead, nobody on, two outs, two strikes to Gload AND Dempster can't get nobody to end it - this is ridiculous and really ruins a great day by Ramirez)

Pass me anudder OldStyle!!!

From a diehard fan to a diehard fan--- you should be used to those kind of results by now.

It happens to every ML team (2out nobody on , 1 run ahead ((or more for cub fans)) ,, just seems like it happens to the cubs more than often. Problem is ,, lots of cubs fans are laughable losers, I don't look for that in a champion.

Hey Geno,

I guess the fans at Wiggly Field knew the Sox would be bringing their brooms tomorrow to clean up all the mess, wouldn't you say? OK Geno, email me for my address and before the game starts tomorrow, promise to send me your shaving razor, your kitchen steak knives, your hedge clippers, your toenail clippers....I could go on but I am laughing too hard. And it is classic that it was AJ...The Dennis the Menace of the MLB who gets to put the dagger into all those Cubbie faithful. Can there be anything better tomorrow. In the immortal words of John Blutarski, Geno, My advice to you is to start drinking heavily!

YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES! Windy

Buzz,

I almost wet myself writing it!

What do you and I have to do to gain a little ground on the Kitties? I mean, come on, we both go 8-2 or 9-1 in the last 10 and lose ground??? The Sox have gone 16-4 in their last 20 and lost a game. When can we get back to the old days when it was the Twinks and Pale Hose who were hating each other while at the top of the division. True, the Tribe made a brief splash late last year but they have come to show their true colors. When do you think the Kitties will show theirs? I have already stated my thoughts in previous posts, just wanted to get your thoughts. Do you want to chip in for some flowers to send to Geno's funeral after he kills himself following the beat down sweep today??? LOL

Just kidding Geno, you know we love you man, but not in a weird Broke Back way or anything.. You know, just MAN LOVE!

Talk to you crazies after the fireworks of todays games.

Now Windy, "brief splash"??? It was the last week of last season when you really almost wet yourself, now admit it.

Flowers don't go along with your advice to me, so please send OldStyle instead.

PS Yes Mud, I am used to it. When Dempster was facing Gload, I admit I was hoping to at least salvage 1 game this series. We'll see what today brings.

Buerhle looks awesome today grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif 2 run homer for the pitcher zambrano grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif. Yes the sox have been winning a lot of games. Can they still pitch??? Every score I see they give up 8 or 9 runs a game.

Buerhle 10 earned runs in 5ip tongue.gif

"Still in the hunt"....good one Spinner.

Darn, saw the Sox had scored twice in the top of 1 so I went to the garage for awhile and missed the bottom when the Cubbies....how do you say Windy...let the monkey out? Or is it put a banana down the Sox pants? Yes, I will put away the electric now and go back to the shaving cream. Still was worried in the 9th today though.

Lesseee....Tigers won today, Twins won today, Cubs won today. Good day in Chi-town. Shoulda taken 2 of 3. Shoulda, coulda, and woulda...but didn't.

No feeling sorry for me today, Buzz. Season is only half over.....lots of time left for EVERYONE.

I suppose that means the Twins and Cubbies still have a chance?! I can't believe Minnesota has won 16 of 17 or whatever it is and has gained a halh a game or a whole game on Detroit!! [PoorWordUsage]!! If only Minnesota can make the playoffs, it would be lights out with the best two pitchers in the whole MLB going!! Really, nobody is better right now are they? Is it even close?

Check out these numbers from today.

Wrigley has a tendency to bring up the ERA, but usually that is for Cub pitchers. I agree the Sox pitching has been more suspect than anyone thought going into this year and that makes them vulnerable in the 2nd half.

As to the "chances" Buzz, well, usually whenever a team has such a hot streak like the Twins have had, I use the contra-approach that sooner or later they gotta fall so I would normally say they have 3 of them - slim, fat, and none. But since all the AL Central top teams have stayed hot for so long, I'm gonna have to build up your hopes and say 10 games back is nothing in half a season. The Twins DO have a chance IMO, so stick with 'em.

I think Windy is gonna be wettin' himself alittle more this year than last when the Tribe almost put him into Depends.

Ah, Life is Long NAPA. The race goes not to the swift but to the persistant. There is half the season left and the pitching staff is just starting to gel. Combined with the increased run production, I have to like the Sox chances even more this year than last. Last year, they had to play perfect baseball to win and they did. This year, they can beat you 1-0 or 16-14, whatever it takes!
