I guess it was my turn last night

After watching a few pigs landed this year, the cat gods smiled on me last night.

Went out with Harvey Lee(Tom) with about 10-12 bullies hoping that would be enough for the night. There were a couple of spots I wanted to try and was very excited when I spotted a sure good luck sign. A big bald eagle sitting in a tree looking down at us.

We set up and before you knew it a mini FM gathering evolved

We were joined by Papa Grump (solo) and Perch Jerker (with another guy and dog).

We talk'ed into the twilight with Harvey Lee getting some runs, two of which I'm convinced were big fish. He just couldn't get a hook into them. The grumpster hooked into two fish that tossed the hook right at the boat. The bites seemed a bit light last night. I also had a small one right at the boat which tossed the hook.

With all the runs we were getting low on bait, and at about 12:30 Harvey Lee said, "That's it, Buck on the first fish, and it has to be in the boat". Well with all that money on the line we were bound to get one now Like clockwork my rod thumps and starts to load up. Wasn't much longer and I had a big grin on my face and telling them to break out the checkbook. A nice 42" 39.5lb flattie

Of course since we were low on bait the fish started hitting. Harvey had another hit and we were down to one bullie. I rigged up my pole and gave it to Tom. About 3 minutes passed and we hear the ominous "thump" and then nothing. I knew it had to be a fish, but the rod never loaded up. He picks up the rod......and the bullie is gone

Sure would've like to have had another dozen bullies.

My hits amounted to a faceful of bugs on the way back in...I'm a pro with those.

I had a great time last night.One of these nights one of those sumo flattie's are going to get a good hook in them.I know if you could get a award for the most lost fish,I would hands down be the winner.Sooner or later that huge monkey will get off me.

I took Friday off and caught a big show....

Then I caught a big monkey last night...but somebody had some luck anyway....

Ah yes, Alice putting on a show. Saw him at Rock Fest two years ago, great show! Also listen to Nights with Alice Cooper on a local radio station - good mix of music and some interesting interviews and oddball facts and info. Great to listen to between bait clicker sprees!
