minnkota bowmount trouble

I have a lightly older minnkota powerdrive 12 volt with the wireless foot control.It likes to kick on and off once in a while.It also will not stop turning when i am steering it.It changes direction fine but doesn't stop when I take my foot off.

I've checked my connections and have two new batteries.Anyone have any other suggestions?

My guess is the relays on the main control board are tacking closed. If this is the case, time for a new board.

is that expensive or would i be better off looking for a new motor?

I found out that "heel" rest ain't no heel rest. I have the same problems, plus the auto pilot, it is ok when I use it like a handheld video controller but always run into problems on the floor! Yah, the darn thing won't stop where I want it to and totally have to re-adjust but you do get used to it. No wonder the cable steers the bass dudes still got 'em.
