Lund ProV refurbishing/restoring

Walterwontfalter

Question

My ProV is pretty scratched up from being tied up to docks with no bumpers, or the bumpers coming off. Plus some of the cabinet latch's are broken and the seats are showing a lot of wear and tear. I heard of a place in Northern MN that restores Lund's to brand new condition and it didn't sound like it cost a lot. The people who told me about it can't remember where the place is or it's name. Can anyone here help?

I don't know which place it is but be carefull. In my experience, "quality" and "cheap" don't usually make good bedfellows. We've been doing boat repair and restorations for over 20 years and we've seen alot of prior repairs that were done for "not alot of money" and most of the time, unfortunately, it was the owner who ended up getting the short end of the deal. The main thing to do if you find these guys is to ask ALOT of questions. I'm not suggesting anything bad about these guys, I'm just saying that I've seen enough to know that there are some good shops and some bad ones and the more questions you ask and the more informed you are, the less likely you will be to have unwanted surprised a couple of years down the road.

How would someone go about getting an estimate from you? Where are you located? etc. Mostly I was figureing on getting the boat repainted mostly...and maybe an engine tune-up. Along with the latches etc. I just need to know a ballpark somehow so I can start putting away the money to get the job done...and start convincing the wife to let me get it done.

There is a guy in New York Mills, don't remember his name but he does outside work for Lund. You might have your local dealer check it out or maybe just call Lund direct. A friend of mine had one of his done there, he did a great job, paint ,decals ,interior.

If you want to give us a call or e-mail us some pictures we could probably put together a fair ballpark estimate for you. We can get the latches and the painting all done in one shot and have you back on the lake in a week or so. Send me an e-mail at [email protected] or you can call us at 507-465-8337.
