I agree with Walleye Guy that a 2400 pound would be the way to go.

I currently have a Hewitt 1800 pound lift for my Lund Mr. Pike 16. With a fuel tank of gas, and two batteries, the boat is close to the lift's capacity.

Yes plan ahead if you think you will get a different boat in the next five years make sure it will work with what you think you are going to get. We got a Hewitt Lift 2 years ago and the little Lund Explore looked a little dumb on it but the Prov on it now looks just right.
