Hit a metro lake with my dad today with the expectations of a slower day because of cold front. It turned out to be one of our best bass outings.

I started out going for muskies with my new setup but after only a few northerns and my Dad spanking bass I had to switch over. We were fishing jigs and soft jerkbaits with a small split shot around docks at the edge of deep water. Those big girls were finally eating... at the close of the day my Dad and I both had caught two 20"+, a 19" and multiple 17-18"s with a total of 24 fish caught.

The pike and muskies were active, too. We ended up with 6 nice pike, several muskie follows, and lost antoher 5 lures to the toothy critters.

Got back from the lake and it was a tough bite. Normally we pull quite a few nice size bass out of this fav lake of mine. Between 2 of us and being on the water for 5 hours, we got 5 bass total and 2 pike. We fished senko's and jig/pigs around docks, we fished timber, we fished milfoil we fished the out edge of the weed line! We threw the book at em': senko's, t-rig whatever, tubes, cranks, and rattle traps!

I say give it a week or so and those fish will be back on their summer haunts.

Ya i went out and had a really tuff time getting alot of bass but the lunkers were biting. A couple of bass in the 17-19 inch range. Some were caught on senkos but the biggest 2 were actually caught on a mepps spinner bait.
