Mimic Minnow

Hey y'all I just wanted to say I bought a mimic minnow the other day to try and second cast out I caught a nice 5 pounder. I went for the perch coloration on the minnow, pretty cheap, couldnt believe how fast I got one with the not so great fishing that I have been getting the past week.

I have used them for walleye as well as bass. They have produced but with so many options I have not tried one again at all this year

The minnow outfitted with a Northland spinner is a deadly combo for walleyes and bass. I put the combo to the test a couple of years ago in Canada. I caught fish cast after cast. Threw the bait up towards shore and worked it back to the boat.

Just another tool to add to the arsenal for fishing multispecies!

Love those things! I've caught more fish, and species of fish last year on the Mimic's than anything else I threw out. Heck, a few weeks ago I had a 29 inch northern hit one so hard that it was hooked in the gullet.

I bought several of those Mimic Minnows after watching the promo video on them at Cabelas. I didn't get to use any this spring because my fishing buddy insisted that we troll lindy rigs in a lake much better suited for cranking and jigging. I do look foward to trying them out. But now I can't go fishing because I have to take my wife on vacation and I'm broke because of it. And I need to buy a new motor for my friend's junker boat. Infact I my never fish again for the rest of my life. I knew I should have invested in Google. Oh well, I can still fill up my bath tub and try out the mimic minnow in there.

those thing do work really well for catching fish. I haven't really caught any real big bass on them, but I've caught largemouth, smallmouth, walleye, northern, tiger muskie and crappies on them.
