Lost reverse in my trolling motor?

I had the same problem on a Turbo series Minnkota. There were 2 relays, one for forward one for reverse. Every once in awhile it would not go in reverse. A couple of sharp raps on the top of the housing while engaged in reverse and it would kick on. It made the sharp raps easier if fishing was bad and I was cranky. Something to try if it's not the pin. New bow mounts are always in stock somewhere!

So I get home and start tearing into the motor, just to show the wife I tried grin.gif . I pulled the top cover off and for some reason turned the handle to "reverse" and the dang thing started working again frown.gif . Not sure what it was but it works fine now. Thanks for the help but now I will have to wait till next year for the new bow mount. Maybe you guys should have suggested dropping it on the floor!
