DETROIT TIGERS... A contender or pretender?

I think the Tigers will give the Yank's a run for their money, the Tiger's pitching staff has to pitch flawless in order to beat them and I think they can.

In sunday's game against the kitties, the Royals were, well, amazing! Coming back to win a game against a team that had everything on the line was fun to watch .

I am deeply indebted to KC and Det for helping me erase the memory of my '69 Cubbie flop --- but Detroit ain't done yet so they still at least have a chance to erase the memory of their flop in less than the 37 yrs I had to endure.

Nothing would be better than a Det/MN series - all Midwest, no Coast series.

I have thought the Tigers were a good team all along, but they are slumping badly right now. They rely too heavily on the HR and their pitching has come up lame more often lately than earlier in the season. Their bullpen IMO is second only to the Twins in the playoffs.

I expect Detroit to win one game and Yanks to take the rest. At least one of those will be a blowout.

Honestly, I'd love to see a Det/Min ALCS, but I don't think it's gonna happen. ESPN would hate an all midwest championship.

If an all midwest ALCS would really torque off ESPN then I say get-er-done. Take it one step further and have an all Midwest WS!!!!!!!!!!!! Woooooooo Hoooooooooo, take that east coast!!!!!!!
