oil ratio revisited

Question

my wife just bought a boat, motor and trailer this last weekend. The motor is a Gamefisher, which I think was made for or by sears, it is a 71/2 hp. does any one know what the oil to gas ratio might be. I was going to run 50-1 in it to start.<P>thanks<P>O

It's quiet possible it was made for Sears by Eska, try the site http://home.earthlink.net/~brixent

they have several links with specs on a lot of the Eska motors that were sold by sears.

Also, you could probably call the sears parts store on haines Rd and get a copy of the original manual.

Sam:

A two-stroke is a two-stroke, regardless of age and things like water-cooled vs air-cooled, brand, etc. Only issue is getting parts. Any shop that works on them should be willing to work on yours, at least to do an assessment and see if it's worth taking on.

After all, they're billing you like $40 or more an hour, right?
