I was out on WBL trying for Walleyes and Crappies. We caught a little of everything but it was pretty slow. Got one nice Walleye on the East Shore weedline.

I think I have lost some "skills" fishing Muskies almost exclusively the last few years once the season opens.

Jon,

I was out on Sat at 8am. Unbelievably, there were less boats on the water and in the lot than I have seen in a long time. I guess during Musky season it must be all us crazy Musky fisherman filling up the lot.

Sorry to hear about your motor. Let me know if you ever need a ride. In any case, I look forward to seeing you out there again. I will be gone this weekend but will be out Memorial Day weekend. Planning on going to the Big Pond on that Monday.

Hey Lals,

How did the new Ranger treat ya? Hopefully better than Jon's boat did!

Jon, same offer here, if you're looking for a ride while you're in the shop, let me know! I'm looking at some in town fishing this weekend.

Chris,

The Ranger is sweet but the Yamaha 4-stroke is "like butter". Man, it is soo smooooooth. I know you have one as well -- great motors.

It will be interesting when I get the Ranger on 2-3 footers. That is the real test. Let me know, when you want to go for a ride -- maybe opener?

My FICHT is so smooooth and quite you can't even hear it run, just a sound of an old cash registers going. Ca-ching ca-ching ca-ching. grin.gif

The warning horn is nice. That way EVERYBODY knows you just had a "mechanical failure". I had to laugh the motor shuts down and smoke rolls out THEN the horn goes off. I just about lost it at that point. crazy.gifsmile.gif

I was on WB Sunday. Lots of pike and bass but no waldo's for me. Brother caught a sub 30" ski and we saw another floating belly up. Was about 40-42"s

Jon - Sorry to hear about your boat. That sucks man!!!

Lals,

What was the size on the walleye you ended up pulling out? I didn't have a whole lot of luck when I was out Saturday, the goofy weather pattern probably contributing. Picked up a few smaller northern but that was it [with suckers].
