ddsbyday
I expect an interesting drive north tomorrow. For all of you FMers out there heading out tomorrow I wish you good luck. Don,t be in a rush. Even if you don't agree stay in the right lane unless passing. Take your time. If you are not keeping up with traffic ahead of you pull over or stop at a nice place and enjoy the scenery. If a sign says lane ends 1 mile ahead start moving over safely at least 9/10ths of a mile before the lane disapears. If you have no cars ahead of you and 500 cars behind you should speed up or let them around. If you come to a passing lane at 55 and will speed up to 70 just so nobody passes you must be aware that you are the most dangerous driver on the road. There will be problems this weekend. Be patient and safe. I want to read success stories next week not condolences.

BLACKJACK
Quote:If you come to a passing lane at 55 and will speed up to 70 just so nobody passes youThats one of my pet peeves!!! You can be following someone going 54 MPH and when you hit a passing lane you end up having to hit 75 to pass them because they've speeded up to 65!!! Don't they understand that its a PASSING LANE and not a 'short piece of two lane freeway where everyone speeds up'? I don't understand, I'd like to talk to one of those dilboes and see what they're thinking???!
stmichael
Blackjack I agree totally! How about when two lanes merge together and I am already in the merged lane and following the 3 seconds behind the guy in front of me (going 5 mph over the speed limit)No traffic behind me and here comes a guy along side of me at the last second, just to get another car length ahead. I see this happen a lot. I will let up and let them pass, it is not worth the frustration, not to mention being out of commission (accident/death). There are alot of people in a hurry these days and I am not perfect I tend to be a little heavy on the gas. I try and respect the other drivers, obviously there are going to be times when the inevitible happens and someone will get p.o'd at me. Nobody's perfect, when I knowingly make a move that may have made the other person a bit upset, I will try and give a wave that it was not intentional. Sometimes I get told he is my number one fan and sometimes the other. I do not get too [PoorWordUsage]ed off, at the very least I am alive and breathing.
