Which Boat Lift to Buy

Lindy Lee

Question

I am looking for info on which boat lift to buy for Mille Lacs. I am thinking of a 4000 lb verticle lift as I have a 1850 Tyee & may move to another lake someday. I have been looking at both Shore Station & Shore Master. Your thoughts will help in my choice. Thanks.

I have owned 3 brands. I would not hesitate to buy the Shoremaster or Porta Dock again. I do not know anything about Shore Station. I also owned a Neuman and thought that they were very lightly built. Good luck in your purchase.

I believe both shorestation and shoremaster are part of the same company. Shoremasters are cantalever lifts, and shorestations are vertical lifts.

I would check out Hewitt lifts as well. I have a 2400 lb cantilever lift with canopy from Hewitt and it is outstanding for the 4 years I have owned it. It is all aluminum and is very solidly built. They also make vertical lifts. Hewitt lifts are made in MN...LeSeuer I believe.

Hewitt docks and lifts are made in Nicollet, MN. I know, I went to school there! tongue.gif hehe

I do agree though that hewitt lift would NOT be a bad choice.

They have a HSOforum to look on too. Just google "hewitt lifts."
