tent sites around the twin cities

me and a couple buddies wanna get together and go camping and possibly a couple of us do alittle fishing. wondering if there are any tent sites with in an hour and half of the northern part of the cities that are kinda remote and have maybe a lake or river near by. thanks

Its not real remote and I'm not sure about the fishing but I am always a fan of Interstate State Park in Taylor's Falls. Its a nice place with good sites. I always see people fishing the river in the area, I am sure there are some decent smallies in there at least. Great place to hike and if so inclined its a great place to do some rock climbing.

Its maybe an hour and half from the twin cities depending on where you are coming from.

I highly recommend Interstate Park. Nice sites with lots of other stuff to do. Willian O'brien and Wild River are also in the area. parks map
