Lake Alexander (more added)

Recommended Posts

So, I'll be going out on walleye opener for pike and walleye, but since I plan to mainly fish pike on alexander, where I haven't fished for awhile, where wood be some good spots?

Edit: I'll take just about any info on this lake.

As far as the pike, I've found that they can literally be anywhere out there. I've seen fish in pretty much every corner of that lake and I can't say that any one spot seems to stand out far above the rest from my experiences. So if it looks good, I would fish it. That doesn't really narrow it down. But anywhere on the lake can and does hold fish. There's enough water out there that you should be able to get away from people and still be in good areas as well. Although that might be more difficult on the opener.

How about soldiers island, would that also be a spot for northerns, but I know this is the pike/musky thread, but since its the same lake, would there be luck at walleye's maybe in the area, along with pike around soldiers island?
