I didn't get out this weekend for the opener, but was wondering how others did. I am planning on taking next Friday off and getting the Lund out.

CNY Tim made it out late Saturday night/early Sunday morning on Oneida and here are his results!!

The fish are between 16" and 19.5". He caught 14 walleyes total. Wind was out of the west from 5-7 mph.

Great job, Timmy laugh.gif

Thanks Johnny! Waiting on Tank and DC's report from the Delaware. Didn't even need the waders on as the eyes were surfacing 15-25' off shore. Size 11 floating Rapala's and Challenger minnows worked well. Cast to a rise and a couple of twitches and wham... Tuzzy did get out early Saturday morning on Fish Creek and managed to loose 10 jigs and no fish. The guys on the big bend did manage a few eyes from there boats.

Here are Tank's and Dark Cloud's fish pics from the Delaware on Saturday morning. Great job guys and nice pics. They said they caught 25 eyes between between 15-19 inches. Not bad for a half day's outing!

Johnny the boys did well again last night on the Susqy all 3 caught there limits...

Here's Dark Cloud's report...

Dad, I and Ab's cousin Paul just picked up our limit of 5 eyes each at the local river. Fished from about 930 till almost midnight. Mostly 15-17 inchers and dad had two 19's and I got one 20 incher. Threw back about 2 times as many that were just short - had a good time fore sure. 3 and 4 inch plastics on 1/8 and 1/4 oz jigs and dad got one on a rapala....

If Jay took pictures I'll get em to you.

Fish Creek gave us some eyes Sunday morning to Tuzzy and his brother Sal they each got a limit on brown bucktails tipped with 1/2 night crawler. Of course I razzed him because he didn't have any pictures. tongue.gif George was on Delta with his new Lund Saturday and caught two 16.5" keepers. I can't believe Franky is TDY and missing all this hot action. The southern tier boys may be at again this evening, good luck boys!

Ya betcha, by golly . . .that was the land I was in and can you believe walleye season in Minnesota is not open yet!!! Got back on Friday, but I was busy turkey hunting on Sunday but since I got a bird by 6:30, I guess I could have been on or near the water some time on Sunday. Well, you know how the ladies can be when you have been gone for almost a week . . . use your imagination, its free!! wink.gif

The whacking still continues on the Susky... Dark Cloud limited out on Monday and Tank and Dark Cloud put the smackdown on them again yesterday. Nice job guys... Talked to Z last night at the game and he's been fishing Delta hard the last couple of days with Craig, no eyes but they are starting to get a few crappies.

Here it is Timmy!!

dceyes3qp.jpg

Dark Cloud's fishing summary:

"I fished for 2 hours and caught about 15, keeping 5 that were 16-19 inchers. Highlight of the night was landing a 27 incher. She was a skinny spawned out female with a giant head. I thought she was closer to 30 when she got in the net. Shes still swimming now and hopefully will survive to see 30+. Ofcourse the camera was in the car as this spot is a treatcherous wadeing deal and im not taking a spill with the digital. Took this pict per Timmy with no stringer back at the car...."

Timmy made it out early Thursday:

timssmall7yl.jpg

Here is his fishing summary:

"Winds were out of the southeast at 10-15 mph so I was limited to the spots I could fish so I settled for the bridge on the the barge and caught an 18.5" walleye and a nice keeper crappie. The guys on the wall had caught a few walleyes on jigging raps but mostly smaller fish 13-14" but they had more action. With the rains coming and Dark Cloud busting on me to get back to the lake I figure it maybe the best night to give it another go.."

Johnny I talked to Tank and Dark Cloud this morning and they were back at the Susky again last night. Tank and John were on the early shift and caught 3 keepers and Auger Boy and Dark Cloud performed a midnight run and caught 4 keepers each. This weekends weather is not the best and Tuzzy and I are searching for what we want to do Saturday morning, boat is out that's for sure. We may just stay in the canal and walk the wall with raps and sonars and or pitch minnows for crappies. Will see...

Great going Jay! Tuzzy and I didn't do jack below the bridge for eyes a rock bass is all that we caught this morning, then we shot over to the Campbells and finished up at Fish Creek with a Fall Fish and a smallmouth and dat was it. Winds are still 10-12 mph out of the east today so I will maybe give her a go tomorrow.

Dad joined me when I got out of work at 11:45. Had the place all to our selfs and picked our limits in about an hour and a half.

Thats 7 night in a row for me on the river. Does anyone think I may have a problem??? laugh.gif

A problem? Nah..., not even close yet. Now if you said we bagged our limit and released 40-50 walleyes after that and fished till sun-up 7 days straight, now that would maybe a situation where you'd be ready for an office with a recliner.

Walleye strikes and fat perch bites give me that same "I can't wait to get out there and set that hook feeling". We love our out of doors, Thank Christ!

Jay the Shmuck called yesterday, new cell and new job, topo maps and serious discounts, ask me about it later.

Were doing a barbeque today at Mom's. Beers and Grill work.. Man, I wish that was a full-time job I would never leave it.

Happy Mothers Day to all the Mom's out there and especially the one's whom gave birth to my good friends. Enjoy your day!

You Vassils keep it up and I am going to change the subject of this thread from "Walleye Opener" to "Cord Wood Walleyes" grin.gif
