X 97 question

Hooked up my locator on my boat after it's winter nap now the sound doesn't work. Sound is turned on. Alarm doesn't sound, but is enabled. Just flashes... Do I need to send it into lowrance or someone local to have it looked at. It's only 3 years old. Have looked over the manual for the easy answers. Just stumped right now.... Thanks for anyones help. Oh buttons when touched doesn't make any beeps either..

First, I would check your battery connection. Sometimes a loose connection will cause your unit to flash. Next, I would look in your manual to see if there is a "system reset" procedure. I believe it is combination of three buttons you press that will reset your unit back to square one. If this doesn't work, email me and I can give you the name and number of guy who does an awesome job at fixing lowrance products.

There is a system reset, but you may have to call Lowrance to find out what it is.

Well I tried the system reset and still doesn't have sound guess I'll have to call lowrance... Thanks for the help.
