I have a 1985 16ft Lund Mr. Pike and the max hp rating on this is 60 hp. I want to say Valv is in the right ballpark with the 50 hp but don't quote me on it. First thing I'd do is just give Lund a call up there in New York Mills. They were nothing but helpful when I called them up with my boat.

Thanks

Steve

My inlaws have a late 70's 16' Mr Pike with a 60 hp 2002 Yamaha 2 stroke. It goes like a bandit, could probably use some trim tabs because it tends to bounce a little at the top end. This is max rating for the boat per the marina. I wouldn't go any bigger than this and I'd stick to the 2-stroke for weight purposes. My inlaws boat rides a little low in the water as it is and I wouln't want any more weight back there to add to the batteries and tolling motor.

I have a '77 pike and I'm pretty sure the plate said 50hp max. Unfortunatley somewhere along the highway, somehow, the plate dissappeard one day so I cannot fully confirm that. confused.gif
