Lost
Here's my boat: 14 footer fiberglass I'm guessing it weighs around 750 lbs. How much thrust would you recommend in a trolling motor for the thing? Just going to be fishing the smaller lakes here in MN.
0 Slyster
For ease of use and long battery life.. I'd say the Minn-Kota Maxxum 55T. I have the Minn-Kota transom mount Maxxum 55 pound motor and I get an amazing amount of time out of this unit with one 12v deep cycle battery. 0 JohnMickish
If you have to much you'll never know, but if you don't have enough you'll know it every time. I will say if you have to choose between two, choose the bigger one.
0 efgh
Good advice, you can always use more thrust up front, even on smaller lakes, go big, you can always slow down on calm days, the windy days you will be a lot happier with the bigger one.
