Reel service - drag washers

I was working on a couple of reels this weekend and I tried to find information on whether or not the drag washers need to be lubed. I was working on my Abu Garcia D5 reel and noticed a very thin film of oil or grease when I disassembled it.

Does anyone have a good source for information on reel service?

Some one will probably chime in with the answer your looking for, I have had great success with Minnetonka Outdoors for all of my reel repair, ask for Tom he does the reel repair.

Also Trails End Bass Pro shop up in Fridley on Hwy 65 has an in-house reel repair service.
