0 Surface Tension
Lets start out with something simple. Check the switch connected to the man over board tether.

0 Surface Tension
How about a blown fuse. Should be back toward the cylinders along the side.

0 ChuckN
I'd say a CDI/power pack went. If it's electrical (no spark) bring it to a mechanic for proper diagnosis.
0 Guest
If you are looking at the engine on the drivers side there is a wiring harness towards the top of the engine. There is a fuse holder with automotive type fuses. 20 amp if I remember correctly. My owners manual says to keep extra fuses on hand so it is possible this could be it. I would think that a power pack would last longer that that. It may save you alot of $ if you could locate these yourself and check them before letting a Merc dealer comb through it. Good luck. My XR6 is a 2001 and I just replaced a coil wire that was bad. I wish I would have found the problem before spending $45.00 for spark plugs.
