H2O
I'm mounting another transducer to the back of my boat and have a question. Right now there is a Hummingbird transducer already mounted on the back of my boat, which I still plan to use and I will be adding a Lowrance transducer. Do I have to worry about interference if I mount them side-by-side? If I do have to worry about interference, how far apart should they be? Rost
I assume one ducer is for the trolling motor and one is for the counsel? I am going to guess you will get some interference with them mounted so close (if both units are on at the same time). If you must put them both on the transom, then just run one unit at a time. Myself, I would take the ducer for the front of the boat and place it on my trolling motor. You'd like this set up better anyway.
marine_man
I think a lot of it has to do with the frequency of your locators.. if you're running at 200 hz and 50 hz you'd probably be ok... marine_man
H2O
The two transducers on the back are not for the trolling motor. One is for my sonar and the other is for a flasher.I know I could take the flasher off, being my new sonar has the flasher feature, but it's already mounted into the dashboard and it works, so why bother (unless it interferes.) I do have a trolling motor transducer, but it is in the front the boat which should not affect the two in the back.
OnTheWater
H2O- I recently bought a used boat, and it has a hummingbird flasher built in, along with a hummingbird sonar in the console. Both are shoot through the hull, and are placed inches apart. Unfortunately, they both don't work when turned on. The flasher will work fine, but the sonar will go on the fritz.
