JWB475
I noticed that the tires are pretty much shot on my boat trailer, anyone know of a good place to get trailer tires in the metro area?
0 Doonbuggy
I have received good service from Samaritan Tire in Hopkins/Mtka. They are just west of 169 and a 1/2 block south of Minnetonka Boulevard. You could call them and see if they have what you're looking for. Someone can probably expand on this better than I can, but it's my understanding that you probably want to purchase radial tires vs. bias plys. 0 IFallsRon
You can purchase premounted replacements at Fleet Farm and Menards but some here have questioned the quality of the tires.
0 FM_Mike
I have done a lot of reading about trailer tire quality and have seen that most people will steer you toward Goodyear Marathon trailer tires. I have just bought a set myself after a great amount of reading. I got mine from Walmart, had to have them order them. Titans are also mentioned as good tires also. I have had no experience with them only what I had read, but with that said I would steer away from Carlisles. Read about way to many issues with them. Hope thats helps. 0 eyechaser99
If you have a small boat and can put tires on by yourself just get 2 from Tires Plus, Northern Tool or a small tire shop. They are much cheaper and save money putting them on by yourself. If you have a big and heavy boat then probably get the Goodyear or Carlisles. 0 AQUAJOE
I agree with Doonbuggy. Samaritan has great service good prices and nitrogen. I just had them put a new set of rims on my van last week.
0 FRESHWATER PETIE
Do you store your boat inside or outside? My trailer tires have never wore out due to worn tred. The outside elements are the culprets. Weather checked tires are dangerous to travel with. Getting your tires replaced at a shop, or by your self should be done ASAP.
