I have owned several Suzuki outboards over the past 15 or more years. They have always been totally dependable, fuel efficient and great outboard motors. I would have no reservations about buying another one if I needed it. I still have a little 2.5HP model that will run all day on a tank of fuel. Great for a little duck boat or Avon raft.

I have the 140 4 stroke as my main motor. I love it. Sometimes I wish that I didn't spend the dough for the kicker because it trolls down to a very slow speed and is so quiet that people have told me to start the motor and it was already running.

I have myself an early 90's suzuki 30 hp/3 cyl on my alumacraft lunker. Great motor, never a lick of trouble and it will troll along all day as well. Aways starts in either a pull or 2 or a touch of the key.

BUY THAT SUZI!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 115-4 stroke on my 1800 Lund Explorer. Quite a number of my buddies, (with boats of their own), have joined me on the water for a day of fishing. Without me even asking what they think of the motor, not a single one of them have fished with me for an hour or two without complimenting on that motor. It is simply the smoothest motor I have had the pleasure of running. It trolls my 1800 Lumd down as low as 1.6 mph..., and does it so quietly, that I frequently catch walleyes trolling in water as shallow as 7 feet.., and that is straight line trolling, without boards.
Don't work for Suzuki.., just am one HAPPY Suzi owner!!!!!!

Web,
I have the 2003 140 and 9.9 4-strokes on a Crestliner 1850 Fish Hawk. Both motors have been excellent. I have 200+ hours on the 140 and 40+ hours on the 9.9. The 9.9 starts very easy and runs smooth. I would buy both motors again.
