trailor lights\guide rollers

prophet

Question

fed up with wiring problems every time out or
on the the way back,i decided to rewire my
older trailor.?? going to add guide rollers
at the same time, looking at led lights,my
questions are 1. are the side yellow lights
required?? 2.why bother raising taillights on
roller guides to keep out of the water if
side lights will be submerged?? was trying to avoid unpluging while loading\unloading
which i often forget,

I could be wrong, but unplugging the lights when backing into the water is not only for protection of the lights themselves, but also to protect your trucks electrical system. I have replaced a fuse once for my backuplights which fried on my truck when I didn't unplug.
