Snow depth near Fergus

How's the snow depth, thinking of going up to the cabin for some turkey scouting and shed hunting. Thanks for the info.

There was still enough snow in the woods last week to get my wheeler stuck, too bad I did not have ChuckN around to keep pulling me out.

With the warm weather and the rains that are forecast, I would say that this is a good weekend to try and get out. There will probably still be pockets of deeper snow, but it should be very soft now.

The deer have started to disperse from wintering areas, geese are everywhere staking out territory. I'd imagine the turkeys will be on the move soon also.

The snow was knee deep in the woods at our farm near Vining last weekend.

Thanks guys, Gissert any snow geese or just darks? I may have to bring the shotgun and a bunch or rags with.

The snow has melted really, really fast the last few days. Lakes are thawing nicely and the woods still have some snow, but nothing like a week ago. Getting thru the woods should be easier, especially with some rain in the forecast. Be prepared for mud however.

I woke up in the middle of the night to thunderstorms this morning. Not much rain, but it looks like it's coming.

Fields are pretty much down to dirt and mud right now.

There aren't any snow geese around here. Gissert's talking about the Canadas...they are all over. Saw my first ducks on Monday and more yesterday.
