Locator placement in boat

bkft

Question

Hi Everyone,

Just a question for you all. I'm going to be getting a new boat this spring and I'm wondering about locator placement. I have three Lowrance products I'll be using. I have a 332c, 67c and an IFinder H2O. I'm leaning toward putting the 332 on the dash of the consul and the 67 and IFinder on the bow by the trolling motor. I also have the Navionics North chip and will probably keep that in the 332.

To profile my fishing preferences, I like to fish out of the bow, trolling with the MinnKota mostly. Probably rigging or jigging for walleye/smallies.

Does anyone have any input as to why I shouldn't have the setup I described above? Should I switch to have the 332 at the bow, since it has better vertical resolution?

Thanks!

John

I think what you have set up will be fine. I would put them all on Ram mounts and then if you want the H2Oc on the dash next to the 332 you can as long as you put another ball mount along side it. I will be doing this and saving some good looking spots for winter on my H2Oc as I find them this summer. I dont know if your ducers are compatable with each unit but if so you could also swap units from 1 spot to the other when you get to where your going and use the 332 up front. I do this at times when I want my bigger screen up front.
