Does the GWC deal bother anyone?

Maybe it's just me, but this Green-White-Checker thing sure seems to happen more than not. I don't remember this many cautions at the end of races back a few years ago. Is anyone else suspicious? Is anyone disturbed by the number of debris cautions that occur before green flag pit stops might occur? I smell a rat, but I may be alone with that olfactory sensation.

I swore off NASCAR for the rest of the year with four laps to go yesterday when the caution conveniently waved. However, that was probably just the heat of the moment. I happened to find the F1 race yesterday infinitely more interesting than the Cup event.

Yes,it does seem like there are more caution flags now than there was 4-5 years ago.Only problem is ,I cant seem to remember what happenned last week.Maybe me,maybe not.

The caution yesterday probably took the win away from Kenseth as Johnson was maybe a little to far back to win.

Maybe thats the way Nascar wants it. frown.gif

It does seem like there are alot of debris cautions right before pitstops. I don't know if I can say I smell a rat yet but I'd be willing to say it's not out of the question, for some of it anyways. So far we have a caution for a water bottle and one for a mysterious three handed driver as they never found who was missing that glove they found on the track.

What happen to the old saying that "a caution brings caution".that seems to be out the window. The gwc is getting old. The 17 would have had the race locked up. I believe Johnson even said that. Last night Mike Waltrip said that Nascar likes the caution as it brings the feild back toghter.

If I remember right I thought someone tore the rear quarter panel off someone else's car at the end of the race. (LeeHarv, my memory isn't that good either)

As for the water bottle I seem to remember the announcers mentioning JR and 2 others as lucky since they were about to be lapped. Hmmmmmm. Sorry I had to go with the Jr conspiracy.

Yep someone tore the rear off Kenny Wallaces (?) car. But, when that happened I was immediately suspicious. There was no one under the dimwit who hit KW. It looked intentional. How can you not avoid a car you've already lapped 20 times? OK. I'm not a racer, so I shouldn't be armchairing.

Anyway, here's a summary of the cautions from this year, you be the judge if something seems fishy:

Vegas:

Caution 7 - Laps 265 - 268: #20-Stewart slowed, possible flat tire, #11-Hamlin and #78-Wallace made contact with a piece of the #78 came off and on the track.

Caution 3 - Laps 80 - 84: #66-Green got tapped by #88-Jarrett and slid down the track in turn 3, then shot back up the track into the path of #18-Yeley [who caught fire, but put it out quickly] ad #01-Nemechek, also collected was #99-Edwards who ended up hooked to #45-Petty and rode ontop of Petty's fender for a few feet. #01-Nemechek #17-Kenseth came in leading, #2-Busch came out leading.
