So I bought a 535PT fish finder last fall got it out on the water a couple of times last year but had the same problem over and over .. It would lose the bottom and then blink random numbers and show nothing on the screen. I have made sure the battiers are fresh (this is a portable unit powered by two lantern batteries) The transducer is level and I have tried it both submerged and right at the water line. There are no nicks or kinks in the cable for the transducer. And I dont think it is caused by engine noise for it does the same thing weather or not you are moving or sitting still ... any one had simialar deal with humminbird ? how is there customer service ? could it be a bad transducer right from the get go ? Any help in making this thing usable would be great !!!
Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday.
What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures.
Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
