Yes, I have and can't tell you how disappointed I was. I have it (as a spare)for a '95 70hp Johnson and just about the time you're on plane, it starts to cavitate. Played with the trim/tilt, didn't do it. The only thing that would let it "grab" again was lower engine rpm's and then you're plowin' water again. Mine's for sale. I would suggest you check out www.soderblooms.com if you need repairs or a replacement. Jay knows his stuff and his prices are VERY reasonable.

Guys,
CompProps are not to be used as a full time prop for any length of time. No matter what they use for a marketing ploy, these props are only made so that in the event of an emergency they will get you back to shore. They are made of plastic. Well, a high grade density of special space age polymers and co-polymers blended in cryogenic chambers blah, blah, blah. They might save your butt, they will not replace metal.

Tom, Agreed 100%! I did only put it on for one outing, to check the performance and that was more than enough. Yes, It will save your a$$ in a pinch just don't buy it as a $ saver.

I bought a Comprop and was very happy with it. I put it on a 115 Merc on a 19' Starcraft. I had no problems with cavitation described above. Top end was the same as aluminum 3 blade, but 4 bladed comprop had better hole shot.

Comprops are glass reinforced nylon, they work ok temporarily, but my experience and they way they are built, they are just a spare prop.
Worse issue, in my opinion, is the fact if you hit something they will disintegrate blades, thus you will be left with a hub and no propulsion in water, when aluminum will still push boat somehow, and you can get back to shore.
I wouldn't spend money for them, especially when aluminum are just $ 30 more.
