2 pound perch

The liberty beach contest on mille lacs two weeks ago was won by a two pounder. first time in 23 years. I wonder how many sinkers they made that thing swallow.

I was there and saw it on the board. It was HUGE. I do fish that contest every year, but more for the fun of it and for the comraderie than to try win. I'm not saying that everyone who places in that contest cheats. It is however far to easy for someone to do so if they so decide to. Especially this year when there were permanent houses all over the lake still. I, and I'm sure many others have wondered just how many of those huge perch were caught previous to the contest start. Regardless, it is a fun contest and those guys do a lot of hard work setting it up and dole out a lot of prizes.
