bnbrk94
I graduated from central in 1992 and was wondering if you were about my age. Maybe we fished the same lakes, richmond, mina, waubay? Just wondering.
Tyler Holm
Graduated Central in '98.I actually lived on Mina for 10 years of my life and my Dad still lives there. I've fished most every lake in the area hundreds of times.
fishing4fun
Any spring reports coming from Amsden? Thinking about making a trip over.
verg
well tyler, you went to the same HS as bnbrk and myself. bnbrk and i grad. together. He comes and hunts/fishes with me often. I now live in webster. Have also fished and hunted this area my whole life. We have to be careful sending too many people to amsden. such a small lake can't take the pressure. Besides, talking to my gfp buddy, he says not many are caught out of there. It is such a touchy lake. Not trying to discourage anyone, just treat it well. Tyler Holm
I completely agree with Verg, and I know most true musky anglers would as well. From what I've seen in my fishing days, Musky anglers are the biggest promoters of CPR (Catch Photograph & Release). I would truly encourage anybody that might hook into a musky on amsden (or anywhere) to release it unharmed. There's no doubt in my mind most fisherman that exclusively target muskies will practice CPR. Most any game fish will make a better meal than a musky so I will encourage it again to CPR any musky caught. Also, be aware that there are minimum length requirements in SD that prevent harvesting any musky under 40"
