Heater Question

Farley

Question

Does anyone know who makes the heaters that hook up to a 20 lb tank that look like a Sunflower heater but the head has its own stand so you can have the tank outside and the heater inside? I looked at Cabelas, Thorne Bros and Mr Heaters websites and couldnt find them.

That is excatly what I'm looking for except that I want it to run on a 20 lb. tank, not the 1lb cylinders. A buddy of mine has one, either Mr. Heater stopped making them or they are some off brand.

Farley-

That is what you are looking for. You'll just have to purchase an accessory hose that connects the heater to your tank. The hose screws into the same place the 1lb propane tank does.

Here's the technical info-

5' Propane Hose Assembly (Mr. Heater part# F273701) Description- Swivel 1" - 20 Male Throwaway Cylinder Thread x Soft Nose Excess Flow P.O.L. w/ Handwheel) Mr. Heater's most popular hose; connects appliances that are designed for disposable cylinders to a 5-20lb Cylinder.

12' Propane Hose Assembly (Mr. Heater part# F273702)

Description- Swivel 1" - 20 Male Throwaway Cylinder Thread x Soft Nose Excess Flow P.O.L. w/ Handwheel) Mr. Heater's most popular hose; connects appliances that are designed for disposable cylinders to a 5-20lb Cylinder.

Either of those hoses will work for you, depending on how long you need. 5' is what I use. Pretty much every outdoor store carries them.

Thats kind of what I thought. Is it a hose that one end fits onto the heater where you screw in the 1lb tanks and the other end fits onto a 20 lb. tank? It would be nice to be able to run both.

Thanks guys. My Sunflower took a beating racing out to the lake last weekend trying to get out there before the sun set. Needless to say, I need to find a new one now. Nothing like getting out to the lake, setting up, THEN finding out you have no heat.
