Garmin GPS 12

i just picked up an older version (2001) and was hoping there was a way to get a computer program hooked to it any insight would be appreciated

There are certainly many freeware waypoint managing software programs that are compatable with the 12, but not mapping programs if that is what you are after. There have been several mentioned on this board. GPSU and DNR Garmin are a couple that are out there in the internet.
