Has anyone ever had their recoil break on a model 30 Jiffy? The cord broke in mine and I started to fix it, wound it all up, but couldn’t get the cord through, so I let out the tension a few turns by hand and then let it go….. Now it doesn’t catch anymore, so I took it apart and it started to catch, but then when I got it all the way back together it didn’t again. Went to a local small engine place and they said the spring is broke and you can’t rebuild them and so I bought a new recoil for $44. I wouldn’t think Jiffy would make one you can disassemble if it wasn’t rebuildable. If a new spring only costs $5-10 I’d rather go that route. Looks like the one I bought can’t be taken apart. Anyone have any insight??
Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday.
What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures.
Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
