best brand of splashguards?

Any opinions on who has the best splashguards for the money? I recently bought a 17' ranger tiller, but will need splashguards. Are wave wackers worth the extra $$?

Wave Wackers work very well. Use them on a 17ft Crestliner out on Mille Lacs backtrolling on days when the walleye chop is from 4-6 ft or better.

I had WaveWackers on 2 boats and was very happy with them. But I've never heard anyone complain about the less expensive brands either.

i put the walleye masters splash guards on my 16ft pro v last november. the guy lives up in miltona. they look awesome and were 240 bucks.

I would 2nd that notion! Walleye Masters up on the shores of Miltona Lake do an excellent job.

I made an appointment, pulled the boat up there. He put them on the boat- custom guards and after all said and done they look as good as Wave Wackers minus the cost.

Wave Wackers are too much cash. I went with White-Cap splash guards for my Alumacraft at about 1/2 the cost of Wave Wackers ($165 vs $300). Here are the particulars: 1/4" virtually unbreakable tinted gray polycarbonate.

Whitecap uses Santoprene thermoplastic rubber; the best rubber available. Santoprene remains flexible in cold weather, has excellent ozone resistance, outstanding durability and flexibility. Aluminum rivets, along with a solid backing plate, holds the rubber firmly in place. Whitecap splashguards remove quickly. Simply remove wingnuts and lift guard out of slots. Slotted and aluminum angle brackets are permanently mounted to boat with stainless steel screws. Heavy duty slotted brackets are made out of 3/4" HDPE plastic. Slots are machined deep. More than a 1/4" between transom and guard allows clearance for bolt and rivet heads. Guards angle out at 7 degrees for boats with extruding bumpers. Guards are also available to accommodate Minn-Kota's new Vantage troll motor.

3 year warranty.

IMO, the best all around value in splash guards for my application. Almost an identical product at half the cost, NOW THAT'S VALUE!
