Need to find some public land to hunt

how can i find some public land to hunt for ducks. i dont know where to begin. can i hunt on WMA's??

What area are you looking to hunt in? You can purchase maps of state hunting lands.

get a PRIM map of your area. Public Recreation Information Map. these maps are high detail and very accurate. they show wma's, wpa's, public streams, and i don't remember what else. very good thing to have when looking for public land. i think you can pick them up at the bigger hunting and outdoor stores.

I second the PRIM maps. If the sporting goods stores in your area don't have them you can order them from the DNR HSOforum.

hunt the wma up by silver corners, that is not to far from the foley. i use to do pretty well oon it, but i have not hunted it for years.
