Otter Tarp Care

I thought I had heard before that the tarp needs to be opened and dried out before storage rather than just leaving it folded up from fishing. Maybe I am wrong. Is this something to do at the end of the season or after every fishing trip?

I set up my tub in the garage at the end of the season, and fire up the heater to make sure is gets good and dry. Then I leave it up far several days, just to make fully sure that everything is dry.

I remove the canvas from the frame, and store it in a large rubbermaid container for the summer.

If have a fishing trip where I get a lot of frost on the inside of the canvas, I'll dry it out int he same manner during season.
