Bobby Bass
Well now it starts.. Superbowl has come and gone, there is the pro bowl but after that there is not a bump in the road till the fishing opener. Sure there is the boat show but the bowl show here is nothing like it was even 10 years ago. Now it is nothing more then a bunch of vendors trying to sell vacuums and microwaves and home cleaning kits. Thank god at least Marine General is there so you can at least see some fishing gear. But I am getting off track here. Anyway the wait begins and with the warm weather I think "Cabin Fever" will strike very soon this spring. Even as I write this I have dripping water coming off the eves and not a tad of snow on the boat house. I can just about hear the sound of minnow tank aerators and the shuffle of feet dragging in front of walls of fishing lures as myself and others like me begin to head to the bait shops just to wander the aisles and perhaps pick up a few things a couple of times a week. Anyone else out there already feeling the pain? Even you hard water guys will be in the same boat soon..

federline
Now, I've been accused of future fishing season daydreaming before, but I'm not ready to close the book on ice season yet. Yes, I dream all the time of open water bass fishing, but I have a ice trip to the Winnie area yet to do, Cool Cats, more local lake ice hopping, and of course, those March ice panfishing days in the full sun in short sleeves. I love that! And before "The Opener", there's looper fishing on the North Shore to do...
