This is coming from another source, so I can't confirm it personally.

"They are reporting on KFAN that Mike Tice is now being investigated for tampering for making contact with Vikings players who are to become Free Agents, about coming to Jacksonville."

It was on the 9 oclock news last night.

I think he might find a loop hole though becuase when he was talking to the player he wasn't working for Jacksonville yet.

Sure is an one-who-thinks-I-am-silly though isn't he?

New Jaguars assistant head coach Mike Tice faces the prospect of a tampering charge from his former team for talking to one of the Vikings' potential free agents since being hired by the Jaguars. The Vikings have not made an official complaint, but Tice admitted to a Jacksonville radio station that he had talked to a current Vikings player about joining his new team, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Friday. Tice did not reveal the name of the player but the admission is enough for the Vikings to proceed with a complaint to the NFL.

With just two days remaining before the Super Bowl, Tice must have been itching to create some controversy before the buzz died down. No word yet on whether he's offered up any tickets to smooth things over but it's clear Tice hasn't lost his ability to be a magnet for ridicule.
