trailers Bunk or rollers?

Just wondering what the differances are. Do glass boats need the bunks to prevent transportation stress cracks or do roller style work as well?

I have heard you still get high spots on the bunks that still cause pressure on points in the hull. I do'nt know if it's true though.

from what i've seen and read, yes the extra support is one of the main reasons for bunks with glass boats.

My question is are they needed? Or is this a boat manufacturer's question?

there must be a good reason, cause i never see a glass boat such as, ranger,triton,skeeter,stratos, etc with a roller trailer. i would think it is a support issue. for sure i would never put my ranger on rollers.

Seems to me, all of the glass boats have custom made bunk trailers.

I have both roller trailers and bunk, I prefer bunk trailers. they are much easier to load in windy conditions, because you have to drive on, and the bunks align the boat. I have had nightmares with roller trailers. I never have been to any lake that I cannot unload with the bunk, and I have been on some very shallow launches. I currently have a bunk trailer with a large skeeter, and no lake access has refused my launch. I would get a bunk trailer again for sure if I got a new boat.
