ATV stolen in Maplewood!

Last week I woke up to find my 2002 Polaris 700 Sportsman gone. It was strapped on top of my 20ft trailer in my front yard with an older 2 hp Strikemaster auger with a new 10 in Lazer auger. The ATV was one of the first models which was black and silver. The ATV was lifted off the trailer and pushed down the hill a block to a get away vehicle. The Police were called and an insurance claim is being made, luckily it's got full coverage!

The Police officer said another ATV was stolen within a mile of mine recently.

I know the ATV is long gone as it will either be taken up North or chopped up but if anybody comes across the auger I'd like it back! It may end up in a pawn shop for all I know.

Also, if you think you live in a good neighborhood and you keep you atv outside think again!

BTW, some of you may recall my attempted Ice Castle post after turkey day, could be the same guys, who knows.

Took me 2 augers, lots of tackle and rods, an ice chisel, ladder, lantern.............. to learn to keep my stuff locked up. Unfortunately wherever you live, there are those who think what's yours is theirs, or "need it worse than you". I wish you luck in getting your stuff back. You got the serial number for your auger?

I believe the news had a story about sleds and atvs being stolen out of peoples yards just recently. I know chances are slim but I hope they catch these degenerates and you both get your equipment back.

be sure to report the ATV to the DNR as stolen. At least then someone can not buy and re-license it.

The ATV was reported stolen to the Police, DNR, and insurance company all within an hour of finding the atv stolen.

I did not get the serial numbers off the ice auger. If I see it though I'll know it's mine.
