You should be able to purchase a spray can of the appropriate paint at your dealer. You may also find it at places like Gander Mtn. The primer is available at any marine place. I purchased some for my Johnson and sprayed it last spring, it still looked good at the end of the season. For painting, I took a file and smoothed out the skeg (hit a log, took a chunk out), then sanded the freshly exposed metal and the surounding area with 220 grit wet/dry sandpaper. I then masked off the area I didn't want painted and applied a couple of coats of primer (light coats) let it dry and then feathered in a couple of coats of Johnson white. I used a piece of cardboard to help with the feathering. I let the boat sit for a week (to cure abit) before I took it into the water.

This is what I did but dont know if it "Right". I sanded so all old paint was off of the 1 area I wanted to touch up then wiped clean. Primered it, dried it overnight then painted it with a good marine paint. Like anything else it dont stay on long if you drag it in a little sand. grin.gif

Im just keeping mine with the battle rash for now.
