here's my take.

the lights captkev posted seem to be pretty good.

the maxxima lights some have talked about are apparently very bright, but also more expensive.

the aquariam dome lights on hsolist SUCK! 4 of them didnt even light up my otter lodge (plus they didnt seem to be very high quality)

the 1157 bulbs seem to throw some good light, but also seem to have more "rigging" to get them set up than with pre wired untis.

that is what i have taken from the thread.

the toughest thing is finding the dang things!!

castmaster:

My brother got the oval Maxximas (45) LED off HSOList when this all started and right after he bought the 54 LED from Peterbuilt.

He actually has (4) of them to be honest.

They are the type you see on box trucks or semi trailers that have the back up lights in the side wall, not the bumber. Slim vertical type design like 3" X 6" clear lens with (45) led bulbs each. He got them in pairs for $45 which was like 2 for 1 compared to a dealer.

grin.gif I installed 4 of the round 54 led maxxima's back-up lights in my OtterII medium cabin. Lets just say that you could perform surgery in my house. LOL I have 54 year old eyes and my eyes really like the maxxima's. I have them strapped on the ceiling bar and they can be aimed front to rear. Spendy but worth it. Bought 2 at a truck dealer and picked up 4 more on HSOList. Still have two not being used yet..
