Weagle / Wobble

Recommended Posts

I have just been informed by one of the new owners that the Weagle and Wobble line of baits has recently been sold. The new owners of these two baits have already started production in anticapaition of the 2006 Musky opener. Steve stated- "We are putting in some late nights working on baits, we are producing them the old way. Hand made one at a time, each bait will be hand assembled and hand painted producing a top qaulity bait."

Good to see the Weagle and Wobble with their uniuqe walk the dog top water and sub surface action back in production and hopefully available for us musky folks for the 2006 opener.

I want the Red one! laugh.gif

Jon, I heard that too, I think Jonesi and Luke will do great making these more available, the new company the Weagle(s)/Wabull (but they don't fall down) is being made by will go by the name Muskie Mojo. From what I have heard they will be at the MN Extreme Show in Medina. I'm glad I got my hands on some of Cady's originals, though I'm sure it won't be any different of a bait then the new ones.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make the Extreme Show, got put on a project rebuilding a clients network in Rush City that weekend.

Hiya.

The Extreme shows are pretty fun. Not as big as some of the other shows, but that's not all bad. Get to spend a little more time seeing what's what and visiting with manufacturers, etc.

I'll be there off and on throughout the weekend in the Esox Angler booth (have a couple hockey games to go to so won't be there all the time) and I'm giving a seminar on Sunday morning. Be sure to stop by the booth and say hello. Always fun to meet fellow FM-ers...

Cheers,

RK

The Extreme show is definetly worth the trip. I went last year and was pretty impressed. Lots of FM guys will be at the show and a bunch of guides, tackle guys, musky publication guys, guys that do replicas, the list goes on and on. I'm going to try and catch it Sat. afternoon.

Went and checked out the new Weagles from Musky Mojo yesterday. Cool new paint schemes and a few cosmetic changes to them but still the same good old weagle. For only being in production for a short time they had a pretty good supply of them although they were going pretty fast. They also came out with a bigger sized bucktail called XXX or triple x, this thing is tough. Big blades, big fluffy tail, heavy wire and three razor sharp trebles. I also think they said some of the blades glow in the dark, now thats cool for night fishing, you can see it coming before you slam the swivel into the end guide on your rod.

I think i heard somewhere that Muskie Mojo was going to put out another glide bait then the Wabull. I seen some of the paint jobs on another site, they looked great. I hope they get their HSOforum u and running soon. Those massive Marabou Tails look mean, 15" long, now if that isn't a big fish bait, sure as heck won't fit in my box...

Question regarding the triple xxx bucktails.... what rod power/length do you need to effectively fish that with but not burn out the arms? I think it would be way too much drag in the water for my "traditional" bucktial rod.

Check out the weagles on hsolist and how much they go for.....crazy!

Thanks

Chris

I think some guy might have bought some of the new production and started his own sales bit. Trust me, many weagles are in production currently. I know both of the owners and they do not look good from all the late nights making weagles.

As far as the triple xxx bucktail I would use one of my Thorne rods, 7'6" with a slightly stiffer backbone. They actaully don't load up to bad.

Actually I think he is making his own a similar bait but not the same and was actually using the term weagle in his selling of the Suducer on hsolist. I seen on another muskie site he actually had the gonades to post a thread of the "Sueducer" for sale, man did he get ripped for that. He also has other "copies" forsale.

I have no doubt the weagle will be plenty available by the opener.

there are a couple of "copycats" selling on hsolist with bait names of "seducer" and "homewrecker". both guys seem to be in it for the $$ and nothing else. they saw an unfilled market and decided to do the big business thing and use cheap chinese manufacture to reduce cost and be able to sell cheaper.

i know this is america and people shouldnt have a problem with things like that, but in my opinion its just wrong. the main thing is if you did a search on hsolist using eithr of these guys lure names, you will find nothing. but enter weagle and voila you come upon their baits. to me thats just out of line!

it would be like ford putting up gmc signs all around their dealership (while removing any mention of ford) and then when you enter the building they say, "oh this is a ford, its exactly 1mm longer and a bit heavier and has better paintjob". if your product is truly better than the competition, then you shouldnt need to use the competition to push your product!

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
