Fishing Jacket

Anybody recently get a good deal on a jacket that will stop the wind, repel some rain and provide some freedom of movement for casting and the like? Don't want to spend a fortune because the boy needs one too, but I'm tired of fishing only in the winter and when it's warm enough for shorts. Thanks.

Hey Paul. Don't know what your budget is but Helly Hanson makes some of the best wind/rain shells and are cheaper than guide wear and such.

Try Frogg Toggs.. ultra light weight, totally breathable, and I think affordable...

Paul - Gander Mountain has what you need. I believe the jacke is a Pacific Trail jacket if I remember correctly. I have had one for 3 yrs and love it. I even got i one size bigger and useit in the fallon cooler days with a sweatshirt or 2 underneath and I am cozy!

I did try Frogg Toggsand dont even waste your money on them. They will not stand up to fishing, especially with all the hooks we are around. Mine ripped within a week. Good for golfing in the rain though!

Ill second the Helly Hanson. Ive had mine for about 7 years and not a problem with it.
