picksbigwagon
the seats on my voyager won't slide side to side. They rotate and move forwards and backswards okay, but when I need to move them side to side, they won't budge unless I hit them over. It seems to catch on the tub more than the aluminum bracket.... 0 Greg K (aka:CRAPPIEBAIT)
I have the same problem with both of my YUKON'S.What I noticed was the tub is a little deformed.I fixed this by takeing a heat gun to the tub and SLOWLY heat the tub as you work the plastic back and forth till it straightens out.I'm guessing it is like mine and just the outter lip that is deformed.Hope this helps. 0 DEADhead
add another yukon to the list with a stubborn seat. the heat gun sounds like a nice trick; I'm just too lazy to fix it; I usually sit in the other seat anyway
0 picksbigwagon
I ususally use my voyager as a one man or maybe two but we had three guys in it this weekend. I did figure out one neat trick though, I lay the poles on my seats, close down the seats and then run a bungee cord around the one seat around the middle between the seats around the poles and then over the other seat and hook it to the center bar. it takes a longer bungee, but when you get to the next spot, you're not digging around for the poles in the back of the sled makinga ton of noise on top of 8 inches of ice........I am noit sure about the heat gun. My buddy said throw some wax on there.....
0 Greg K (aka:CRAPPIEBAIT)
I used a couple C-clamps with a long piece of 1" x 1" angle iron. Then heat the whole edge evenly, not just one spot at a time.Next I used a 2 x 4 and pinched (sandwhich) the tub in between.I used the wood 2 x 4 so I could hit areas with a hammer to form it & if you need to re-heat the plastic just warm up the angle iron.I found once I did this, the seats slide much much better.
