Coleman Lantern question

Minnetonka

Question

I have an older (10 years) Coleman lantern. This is a white gas two mantle unit. One mantle throws off a lot of light and the other just barly glows and only when the other is buring great. I suspect one side is not getting any fuel. Can anyone shed any light on this? (sorry for the pun)

White gas, is that the coleman fuel? If that's what you are talking about I had a similar problem with my lantern and ran just alittle sea foam through it. Wasn't sure if it was going to wreck my lantern or not but thought it was worth a shot. So far (I did this last weekend) it seems to run much brighter and cleaner, not nearly as much flickering, which was the big problem before. So it seemed to have worked... guess only time will tell for sure though.
